Australian body paint artist Emma Hack decided that art needed a new frontier where cows become canvas. We imagine the artist looked through storage and lockers of artistic supplies, found some cows there and promptly started to paint them, probably as a way to confuse cow abducting aliens.

Reality on the other hand happens to be much straightforward and more purposeful, where the artist was inspired by a “Cow Parade” she saw overseas and decided to paint Australian bovines to draw attention towards the plight of farmers in drought hit South Australia. Emma Hack was accompanied by photographer Peter Fisher who captured these images.
