Two girls putting up very ‘familiar’ poses with a 1400 pound bear
Does something like a friendly bear exist? I don’t know, but you couldn’t pay me enough to strike poses like these models with a 1400 pound bear. Incidentally, this sort of negative thinking also happens to be the reason of this awareness campaign photoshoot that features Russian models Maria Sidorova and Lidia Fetisova, along with Stephen, the bear.
Photographer Olga Barantseva says the idea of the photoshoot was to capture the natural “harmony” between humans and bears. While that might be a stretch, indiscriminate fear and attacks on bears really aren’t the nicest things. The big lovable bear was left near death after an attack by hunters, and was eventually rescued by his current owner.
Stephen is quite popular in Russia, and is a movie star now. With swagger like that, we’re sure he has earned it.
