McLaren has chopped the top off its MP4-12C supercar to come up with the MP4-12C Spider that has all intentions to take on the Ferrari 458 Italia Spider. The drop-top McLaren has a metal roof that can be pulled up or down at the touch of a button. The roof cannot be operated while the car is driving at speeds above 19mph, which in supercar lingo means the roof can only be operated while the car is at a halt.
12C Spider is powered by a 3.8-litre V8 twin turbo engine that delivers 616hp and takes the car from zero to 62mph in 3.1 seconds and all the way to the top speed of 204mph. The supercar is priced around $310,000.
