This ain’t no ordinary car folks, and even though he is (sort of) present, the Stig doesn’t drive this one. Built by Perry Watkins, this furniture-car can touch a top speed of 130 miles an hour, which is a speed record for the fastest furniture. Construction of the car started off with the idea of beating the previous world record of a motorized sofa that could do 92 mph. Plonking a V8 into an old convertible took care of that part, though we’re sure the nitrous oxide injection system helps.
It took a year and $7800 to build the car, which has hydraulics to lift the table frame so that the driver can enter and leave. Also, see the fake chicken ornaments there? Those can shoot plumes of smoke 6-feet or flames that go 10-feet.
