Anti-peep makes the webcam smart and cute

The “Anti-Peep” USB webcam ensures that someone won’t be using your very own webcam to spy on you. It does so in quite a simple yet interesting way. The webacam has robotic arms that move to cover the lens when you don’t need your webcam. As soon as you start a video session, the arms move away from the lens and let you continue. The webcam is being sold by Chinese manufacturers Gsou, who make finding products on their webpage difficult.

X-Tube USB Adapter has a vacuum tube, misguiding name

X-Tube USB DTS Surround adapter has an unusual look and style. Quite possibly, a major reason for buying this adapter would be the presence of a vacuum tube amplifier that claims of providing users with DTS surround sound from their laptops. The gadget has an headphone out and microphone input, but it requires DTS headphone dock software and DTS compatible headphones to work. Also, it has kind of a funny name, but that could also point towards the sounds that are most likely to be heard through this adapter. Costs $80.

IUM Infinite USB Memory Device pairs your gadgets, adds tons of coolness

The IUM Infinite USB Memory Device is cool, and awesome. It may not look that part, but we’re sold on its functionality. The wireless USB dongle is capable of streaming files from a paired computer to a number of devices/gadgets like game consoles, HDTV, photo frame, digital media adapter, or Blu-ray player. The transferred files appear just like normal files stored in a USB flash drive, and funcioning of the USB dongle requires the installation of Infinite Portal PC application. This will just get better when USB 3 hits stores. A limitation is that it can only be paired to one host PC at a time, but that shouldn’t really be a huge problem. No word on pricing yet, but it is scheduled for a launch on March 1.

Light Bulb USB Flash Memory

These USB Flash drives come in a rather cool look, that of our conventional light bulb. They have a capacity of 2GB, and are available in orange, blue and green color lights. The manufacturer claims that the data transfer rates from these flash drives can be as high as 480Mbps. While that claim is difficult to digest, and probably is way over the top, I still like this drive. Cost $54.
