French photographer Jolipunk traveled to several places around the world, and came back with a photo series that shows locals flipping the bird. The inspiration for the series came from a desire to do the opposite of what his contemporaries do. So while others try to portray the lands they visit as exotic, Jolipunk decided to go the opposite way, and call the series Fucking Tourists.

The series kicked off when Jolipunk asked a local to pose for a photograph. The man refused, saying he had posed once to later find the photograph printed on postcards. As though he was an “object of folklore”. That point forward, we assume it would have been pretty easy to get these people to flip the bird to the photographer. So far, the photographer has traveled to Jordan, Cuba, Peru, Turkey, and Bali, clicking portraits of people flipping off.
