We could easily imaging majestic birds of prey like the Golden Eagle hunting small, maybe medium sized animals. But seeing them take on wolves is a whole new level of awesome. Kazakhs of western Mongolia train eagles to hunt with them, and the furs of wolves and foxes play an important role in their life, keeping them safe and warm from the harsh cold desert climate. The eagle is never a pet or slave to the owner, but rather a partner in hunting. You could say the bird stays with humans because they make it easier to get the food on the table.
