Microsoft has announced it new gaming console, the Xbox One. Rumors initially called it 720, but there you have it, that’s officially the Xbox One. the new console combines Xbox with Windows so you get a gaming platform with access to numerous applications like internet, TV and entertainment applications.

Microsoft has gone wireless for its new official steering wheel for the Xbox 360. Apparently made specially for Forza 4, Microsoft claims the wheel will work with all titles. Due to hit market shelves in October, the wheel is priced at $60.

Atari is preparing to release some of its best known titles as Xbox downloadable content, and they found a very interesting way to get more publicity for the same, modder Ben Heck. The new Xbox mod from Ben Heck puts the guts of the console into something of an Atari inspired Xbox laptop, making it appear as if it were from 1977.

Facing bullets was probably the last thing this Xbox 360 plagued with the red ring of death hoped for. Since it wasn’t much good anyway, students at a local college near Kansas City decided to end their semester by putting the console in front of a firing squad. We guess it’s a great pleasure to shoot out the Xbox with the feared and hated red ring.

What do you call an Xbox 360 disguised as a toaster? The answer of course is XToaster360, or at least that is what modder ncaruso11 named this contraption. The idea is fairly simple: pull out the innards of the toaster, plonk in innards of an Xbox. And voila, you have a toaster that doesn’t toast, but plays.

Origin PC has put a gaming PC and an Xbox 360 inside one liquid-cooled box, and they’ll be showing the hybrid at CES. As Gizmodo puts it,
