Shark Fin Life Jacked for Dogs

Take your dog surfing with you, and dress it up in this cute shark fin life jacket. Paint it in shark colors, and pretend you’re a complete badass frolicking in the water with sharks. On a more pragmatic note, the fin can be used to grab your dog while they’re out swimming, and the jacket keeps them afloat making doggie paddling safer. The full body jacket is designed to keep the dog’s mouth out of the water. Costs $40.

Shark Attacks on Humans Versus Human Attacks on sharks

Sharks, as we know are those wily creatures who are ruthless killing machines and hunters with the lifelong aim of eating humans. It so happens that humans love to eat sharks too. About 100 million sharks lose their lives every year to “finning” i.e. slicing off the shark fin so it can be used in a soup. Marketer Joe Chernov created this infographic to display the amount of people sharks kill in a year, against the amount of sharks that are killed every hour. Humans FTW!

Man plays underwater tennis with shark, shark looks unimpressed

One big story this guy will tell forever in his life is the time when he went into an aquarium, and played tennis with a shark. Some people will refuse to believe the story, others will look on in awe, and this guy will continue with the story. In another turn to the story, the guy is actually testing Dunlop’s new Biomimetic tennis range at the London Aquarium. Since the racket is inpired by shark-skin, someone thought it would be a great idea to throw a guy into a tank with sharks, have him play tennis, and see how much drag the racket produced. Still, cool story bro.

Sharks get into a feeding frenzy off the Australian coast [Video]

Sharks are considered solitary hunters, sometimes a couple of sharks band together for the kill, but it is very rare to see them going for the kill in such large numbers. This video was recently shot off the coast of Australia, from a helicopter. Scores of sharks were captured in a feeding frenzy, attacking a school of fish. Naturally, such a huge number of sharks close to the coast set the alarms ringing, and the Australian government is now considering options to prevent shark attacks on swimmers on the beaches.
