Vintage-Style Lamp Made From Reclaimed Materials

Vintage themed lamps and objects that artist Cory Barkman (previously) creates, come from a very elaborate process. The stunning design and the beautiful appearance are of course, a big part of the job, but the story of materials used in making these lamps is impressive in itself. Most of the objects used in the construction of these lamps are reclaimed mechanical parts from a scrap yard. Once the idea takes its shape, Cory looks for parts suitable for his lamps or forges a part if it cannot be found.

UPS makes a smart move, creates a reusable express envelope

UPS reusable express envelope is definitely a good idea, and the implementation is smart as well. The envelopes have a second adhesive strip, which makes reuse possible. A simple way to cut down on waste and environmental impact associated with express mail, plus, the receiver doesn’t have to use another envelope. The envelopes come in letter and legal sizes, and are available at the UPS website.

Old Chair + Paint + Wood = New Bench

Maria Ahlbrandt did something very simple yet extraordinary to convert these old and almost useless chairs into a perfect, good looking bench. Though this conversion is simple but clearly needs a creative and innovative mind to think a bit differently and recognize, what can be changed/reused with minimal effort.
