Six Foot Tall Piranha Plant Replica Spits Fire

Mario might kick goomba and koopa troopa as all the time, but piranha plants, well they’re something poor Mario can’t take on all too often. And if he saw this one, he might as well quit his plumbing job and find another life somewhere else. This six foot tall piranha plant may be made out of foam and cardboard, but it is in no way benign. This thing eats non dairy creamer and spits out fire balls!

Super Mario Bros Pipe Lamp

Running through pipes is a passion for Mario, and comes in the list of his most favorite things to do after brutally crushing goombas, doing shrooms, saving Princess Peach and throwing Bowser into pits of lava after destroying a bridge. Now we think this lamp intends to celebrate one of the less destructive passions of the plumber. For the lamp, Mario simply pulls the chain switch to switch it on or off. Costs $189 and also available in Luigi, Toad and Yoshi variants.

Sculptures Dissect Popular Characters To Show Off Their Anatomy

Artist Jason Freeny has an ongoing series that features popular characters with a slight twist. These characters maintain their usual appearance on one side, while the other (usually the left) side has been torn apart to show glimpses of the anatomy of these characters. We never imagined the Marshmallow Man would have bones and such anatomical detail, but well, good for him.

Super Mario Bros Calendar

Granted the new year is now old and January is almost coming to a close, but good things do come to those who persevere, or are lazy, whatever way you like to read it. This calendar is the work of Hungarian designer Roland Szabo and shows off a sweet wallpaper/calendar done in the well recognized style of the Italian plumber who spends his time eating shrooms, traveling through pipes and ruthlessly trampling his enemies under his feet.

Real Life Mario Kart

The gentlefolk of Waterloo Labs have brought the classic SNES Mario Kart to real life by their little tinkering with actual Go-Karts and RFID tags. The Go-Karts of course work as the karts for the game, while RFID tags in objects and karts allow players to actually throw around items like “turtle shells.” Four go-karts have been outfitted for the purpose, each with microcontrollers, servo-controlled throttle control, RFID readers, pneumatic steering control, and a pneumatic-powered item launcher for the fun of gaming.
