Vizio from FlussoCreativo is an ashtray that makes good of a candle. When you light up, light the candle as well. Molten wax liquid pool created by the candle will happily trap all the ash, and even cigarette butts. Basically, it would leave behind no mess and considerably reduce the stale cigarette smell coming out of ashtrays. Of course, the ashtray wouldn’t last very long, but that shouldn’t be a problem unless you’re a chain smoker.

Yaya Chou made these candles using Gummi Bears. The designer stacked the bears one on top of the other and then used a wire to create a hole to hold the wick of the candles. All of this brings us to the conclusion that Gummi Bears are flammable, or something more deep and philosophical, once we figure out what that is.

Using some wizardry of science and the hallmark of magic – a wand, you can be a magician of sorts. The Kandela magic candle comes with a wand that lets you play a wizard/witch. A flick of the wand turns the electronic candle on, another flick turns it off. Other functions in the wand allow you to make the candle flame flicker and flash. In case you’re done with the wizardry, you can simply blow-out the candle to turn it off. Costs $54.
