Ugly Mugs Because, Why Not?
You call these mugs ugly, sculptor Jean Cotton calls them aesthetically challenged. That of course, does not change the fact that the mugs are ugly, but they do happen to be an intriguing kind.
All those deformed faces and features that are about as far away from the idea of beauty as humanly possible, they do carry a bit of a charm of being out of the ordinary in the sense of being “aesthetically challenged.” The mugs are available for purchase from the artist’s Etsy shop.
