Things being the way they are, some idiots take pride and pleasure in displaying cruelty to animals. The campaign by Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, Australia seeks to “humanize” animals, presenting them in a way that makes them look more like humans so people can better empathize.
The campaign goes on to point out that we share 90% of the DNA sequence of cats, 90% of genes as dogs, 50% of the same genes as chicken, and that pigs can be as intelligent as toddlers. Designed by agency Engine Group, the set shows animals with human eyes, possibly as an accessory to go with the descriptions and make people realize that animals deserve better treatment.
