Nuclear Wristwatch Can Go On For 25 Years

Nuclear power is soon coming to your hands, or more specifically, your wrists. The nuclear watch houses a tiny nuclear reactor powered by ~100 quadrillion radioactive hydrogen atoms. It’s been declared safe by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, so we guess it’s okay to use it.

The nuke powers the glow on the watch’s face, so you can.. uh.. check the time with ease. Hands of the watch and the numbers have a greenish glow, except at the 12 o’clock point which is bright orange. The watch still runs on regular batteries though, which is kind of a let down. Well, maybe they’ll get around it in the next few years and we’ll have regular watches running on nuclear reactors. Those, and proton packs.
