Forest of Light Takes us Into a Magical Fairy-tale World
When we imagine wonderlands, especially in the post-Avatar era, most of us tend to think of grasslands and forests with plants that shine. “Forest of Light” tends to follow the same line. Commissioned to artist Bruce Munro, the project consists of 20,000 stems of light set along a 1 kilometer long pathway through the garden. “Plants” will have acrylic stems topped with large transparent orbs. 100 Watt halogen projectors with hand-painted rotating color wheels will be used so each of these plants emits a different colored light. The project is set to come up at Longwood Gardens in Pennsylvania, USA.
