IMF concept is an eco friendly car that looks the future straight in the eye
Designer Davide Panarella’s IMF concept gives off a futuristic look, and it isn’t just the looks, the car is full of great technology and interesting design cues. It is the futuristic outlook of the car that gives it the name IMF, which stands for I’m Future. Almost the entire car is made of recyclable materials, making it easy on the environment.
IMF is powered by an electric motor, and has a range of 270 kilometers on a single charge. A “fast charge” for the concept car can be completed in 80 minutes, while charging from a home outlet will take 8 hours and 30 minutes. The concept has a lightweight construction inspired by Lotus cars, and this lets it have good performance as well as longer range.
Exteriors of the car are made of lightweight Basaltic fiber that are 100% recyclable, and the interiors use plant based fibers that are fully recyclable. Elliptical solar panels on the concept help it absorb solar energy more efficiently, creating an alternate auxiliary power source. Davide Panarella hopes to have a prototype of the car built for display.
