Ripple Table is so Light, You’re Expected to Lift it up Every Chance You Get

Coffee tables aren’t expected to be light, which is why when you make a super light one, you are pretty much expected to show it off by holding it above your head quite like the lady in the picture above. Seriously, what are you going to do with a table if you cannot randomly lift it up and proclaim to the world how light it is.

Table Created Out of French Bread

Quite fitting for a table, this one by Polish design firm Studio Gyalik is made out of dried out french bread. Well, it may not taste so well, but it will get you an appetite. Ironically enough, this table is supposed to bring into notice the waste of food, and make you feel bad about it. It’s like saying, “Hey, I just wasted a hell lot of loaves of French bread. You should feel bad about it.”

Magnetic Levitation Table

Floating on the idea of magnetic levitation, this table would make an incredible peace in the living room, well as long as you don’t bump into it or put some weight towards a single side. Also, keep your gadgets away from that strong magnetic field. Height of the table can be adjusted by changing the power running through the electromagnets that keep the table floating. Designed by Yana Christiaens.

Table and Bench Hold On To Your Touch Even After You Have Left

Linger a Little Longer table and bench set loves having humans over. So much, that it apparently misses them after they have left. UK-based designer Jay Watson gave the table a thermochromatic finish, making it respond to body temperature. Once the people sitting on the table have moved, the change to the thermo-chromatic paint stays on for a while, giving the set its name and unique style.

Marbelous Wooden Table Has Marvelous Marble Tracks Built-in

Marbelous is a sweet looking table crafted out of solid maplewood. While that would be an introduction enough, the table revels in the glory of the tracks it has. The tracks allow steel marbles to travel along the surface of the table and go down its legs. It is quite a treat to watch, and an interesting piece of craftsmanship from Dutch designers Nathan Wierink and Tineke Beunders.

Industrial Revolution table presents an attractive, rugged style

Industrial Revolution table presents quite a sight, in its style and in its construction. Made by artist Cory Barkman in his classic style, the table has been made out of a selection of re-purposed materials, and some parts fabricated by the artist himself. What gives the table more of an appeal is that it revolves on an industrial-style rail, presenting a very attractive sight. The table rests comfortably at the coffee table height of 22-inches, but it can be hand-cranked to reach a maximum height of 34-inches. Even though it weighs 400 lbs, the table glides easily on its wheels.

Eight-legged table walks with mechanical ingenuity

By way of construction and application, this table shows the prowess of designer Wouter Scheublin. The impressive mechanical table uses its eight legs to actually move around and walk. Thankfully, it doesn’t do the walking by itself, but makes good use of its legs if you push or pull the table. Arranging furniture would be remarkably easy and a lot more fun with things like this around. On the other hand, we aren’t really fond of eight-legged moving creeps things.
