Bombs make the best piggy banks. Because let’s face it, nobody wants to crack open a rocket to get hold of a few pennies. Your money in that bank is more secure than depositing it in any “real” bank. Costs $46.

Duell Piggy Bank encourages savings by changing it to a competition. Each dropped penny will tilt it to one side, probably to give away the “savings victor” after a set amount of time. We will also assume that the winner walks away with all the savings, because that’s how we play. Of course, if there aren’t two people saving for competition, you could always use the two compartments for different causes.
If you’re out looking for savings in a sweet package, having a piggy bank that looks like a Canon EOS DSLR may provide some motivation. The piggy bank accurately follows the looks of the camera, from buttons and switches to a detachable lens. Hopefully, the money from the camera piggy bank could one day lead to enough savings for the real deal. Costs $22.50.

Needy piggy bank is like a virtual pet of your own, only it needs money to be kept happy, so it probably is more like a girlfriend. The concept, designed by Wang Chao, Maggie Kuo and Jordi Parra needs you to feed it credit cards to keep it happy. For the concept mockup, there is a laser cut wood pattern facade holding an iPhone that displays animated eyes and expressions. As the “piggy bank” gets sad, it demands a credit card be inserted to make it happy.
Deposit change into the Accumulator bank’s tube and see your money grow. As the coins rise, you can check the scale on the bank to see what ridiculous items your savings are worth. For example, the bank helpfully tells you that $30 will get you a 2 acre plot on the moon that you can buy online, having $72 will let you feel proud that you have the same amount that a surgeon earnt monthly in 1819, and $50 is what you will have to spend to own the Accumulator.

If it is saving money that you want, and you’re too old for a “piggy” bank, there’s this DSLR camera you can use as one. You’re never too old for a DSLR, and never too old to save. Coins are inserted through the lens, and can fill up the body as well. Costs $23.

The Arcade piggy bank, or the Arcade Machine Money Box provides a cool incentive to save all those coins. Every time you put in a coin, a game starts up, arcade style. It is a Space Invaders like game that can be played for two minutes. Costs $23.

Putting coins into a piggy bank is so childish, adults should go more stylish with something like the Revol-Design coin bank. It has two glass pieces, with enough space between them to hold some coins. Put a coin at the top, watch it go down to the bottom and you can save money plus add decor to the room. You can place a lock at the bottom to keep your money safe, but should you ever decide to take out the money, it is apparently going to be a problem.
