DIY NES coffee table can also be used to play

This super cool NES coffee table is the work of a guy named “Jocke.” Covered in characters and scenes from various NES games, the table has its top shaped like an NES controller. And here comes the best part: the controller actually is usable. Yep, the coffee table basically is a big-ass NES controller that we wish our friends made and let us play with. Jocke says the table cost about $200 in materials and 70-100 man-hours.

NES transformed into USB flash drive!

Popularity of the flash drives owes much to their portability. And while the drives may take on numerous designer styles, this particular drive goes over the top. This DIY effort converted an entire NES, together with its Tetris cartridge, into a USB flash drive. Definitely not the most portable thing around, and not that easy to connect either.

NES Coffee Table comes with an over-sized controller

We just saw the shiny iPhone 4 coffee table, and it already looks bland, thanks to this magnificent NES Coffee Table built by Matt. The replica Nintendo Entertainment System has storage in the lid, where remote controls and game controllers can be kept, there’s another storage at its back, and the NES coffee table’s controller ports actually are power outlets, making it all the more useful. The most interesting thing I find here is that the coffee table actually has a controller to go along; the controller matches the size of the giant NES, and even better, the over-sized controller is fully functional.

NES case modified into home theater PC

Thankfully, technological advancements have reduced the size of computer components. They’re small enough to fit-in a decent home theater PC in the comforting and nostalgic NES console. The PC has Zotac IONITX-A-U motherboard, a Dual Core 1.6Ghz Intel Atom N330 processor, NVIDIA GeForce9400M on NVIDIA ION chipset and 2GB of DDR2 RAM. Changes to the console’s exterior aren’t extreme, though external ports do make their necessary show. All this coolness costs $475.

Device With A Really Long Name: MP5 Player Digital Camera NES Games FM Radio SD Slot – 8 GB

The MP5 Player Digital Camera NES Games FM Radio SD Slot – 8 GB has a long long name for itself, and is pretty much self descriptive. It has a 3.5-inch screen, with mp5 playback, digital camera, SD card support for NES and GameBoy games, and FM Radio. They could have done a better job on the name though. Costs $75.
