Here’s another badass representation of Pokemon, this time as Lego robot mechas. Someday, we should pit this creation of Stormbringer against Power Rangers. Just a friendly match perhaps.

Philip Valdez creates intricate Steampunk sculptures, and they very much look Victorian, except the part that they are mostly paper, and not bronze. A major part of his Steampunk creations is made of paper or cardboard, molded and painted in the Victorian style. Philip does use “real” wires, gauges and tubes where they may be necessary for function, but it is paper and cardboard that form the core of his work.

The Chimaera Concept is an awesome looking mecha designed to help us with materials handling, light construction and agricultural use. Designed by Mike Turner and Peter Spriggs, this is a “wearable industrial vehicle” has a custom interface to suit the user, and is controlled by gestures rather than any physical controls.

Sentinels have to be destroyed, and humans in their mechas are up to the job of getting rid of these ruthless things from the Matrix. The scene is from the movie Matrix Revolution, and though I’m not very fond of that particular movie, the LEGO version is awesome.

The Olympus Defence Mecha made by Mark Neumann looks like an arachnid badass enough to scare enemies out of their wits. And it’s not just the frightening shape, it has some flashy weapons too.
