Smartwatches are cool, although they rarely look as awesome as the ZenWatch. We like the ZenWatch because it is sleek, has the usual and useful features, and looks pretty darn good. Going to the gritty details and specifications, the watch has a slightly curved 1.63-inch 320×320 AMOLED display. It runs on a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, has Bluetooth 4.0, and 512 MB RAM.
A 9-axis sensor tracks activity and movement, a heartbeat sensor sits at the bottom of the watch, and the watch makes use of gesture controls. Apart from the usual stuff a smartwatch does, this one includes gesture controls for additional functions. Tapping the watch can unlock your smartphone or tablet, double tap launches a pre-set program, and covering the watch triggers a mute command.
The Android smartwatch will be available later this year, although this one will carry a steeper price tag of nearly $260.
