A Beautiful Retelling of Blade Runner With Water Colors and 12000 Paintings

Artist Anders Ramsell used 12,597 paintings to create this stop motion telling of Blade Runner with water colors. Each painting measures 1.5 cm by 3 cm and were stacked together for the video that runs for 35 minutes.

To stick the movie into their medium and the time, they have made several changes to the story, but it’s still Blade Runner. The artist says it never was their intention to do a plain retelling of the story because it would “fill no purpose.” The idea was to create something that was different and never seen before.
