I look at this and I think, how does this even work? Indoor diving I can understand, but indoor skydiving is a whole different plate. For skydiving you expect to jump thousands of feet, which a moderately high building would probably not be able to accomplish. Then again, you add enough perspective, and things just might fall into place. Warsaw studio Moko Architects has plans to build an indoor diving and skydiving center.
The center will have a pair of cement silos surrounded by a network of shipping containers placed to create a building. The building would be about ten story tall, and the individual cylindrical silos will both serve as places for diving and skydiving. The first silo will be filled with water and become a place that will allow divers to explore depths up to 25 meters and will include an underwater cave placed at the bottom of the second silo.
This second silo as you would guess, will function as the skydiving center, with its hollow passage affording a big jump to adventure seekers. All the shipping containers that will be used in the project will be employed in various activities like offices, training facilities, hostel accommodation, an exhibition area, a reading room, sports shops and a summer cafe.
