BMW Vision EfficientDynamics Concept Is A Turbodiesel Plug-in Hybrid
BMW has taken some wraps off its Vision EfficientDynamics concept that will make an official debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September. It’s got looks to kill for and impressive power and performance numbers. BMW’s plug-in hybrid with a three-cylinder turbodiesel can go from zero to 60mph in just 4.8 seconds. The engine is a 1.5-liter turbodiesel with power at 163hp and maximum torque at 214 lb-ft. The total output from the batteries and the engine is at 356hp and 590 lb-ft of torque. The batteries can be fully charged in just 2.5 hourse, and the fuel efficiency of the concept is rated at 62.2 mpg. (Click images for larger versions)
