There have been a number of concepts and products wanting to convert the iPod Nano into a watch. The latest in line comes form schellDsign, a concept that imagines what things may look like if the Apple gadget came in a watch package like B&R. In the spirit of the union of brands, the concept has been named M&T -01 (music and time).

I’d check time a million times on the Kaleidoscope watch

I do have the habit of fiddling around with the watch if I am wearing one, but I’d look at the Kaleidoscope watch a million times for entirely different reasons. Created by GRO Design, the concept watch has three color gradients on its face. All these continue changing patterns like a Kaleidoscope, giving our eyes a treat and killing time simultaneously. Also, did I mention it is freakin’ cool to watch?

The majestic Opus Eleven watch

A look at the Opus Eleven and you know this watch isn’t going to simply point hands and show you time. No sir, the watch from Harry Winston explodes and reassembles the digits to show you the hours. The mechanism remains static for 59 minutes, and then jumps into action the last minute to create the digit. Minutes are displayed by the smaller circular section on the top right; the inner circle shows the tens while the outer circle shows the units.
Bell & Ross BR 01 watch tells time on a radar

Bell & Ross BR 01 Red Radar is an interesting watch with its face inspired by the radar screens inside air traffic control rooms. Red tinted crystals give the face its look while three concentric discs move and emulate the motion of the radar beam as it scans through the surface.

Zoomin is a sleek and interestingly designed watch that keeps its hours in an inner circle, while the minutes are displayed by the circumference. Hands of the watch are replaced by something of magnifying glasses, magnifying the beauty of time. The watch has been designed by Gennady Martynov and Emre Cetinkoprulu.

‘Love knows not what time is’ watch

Here’s a watch that doesn’t seem happy to be the timekeeper, but does seem intent upon love. Letters on the face of the watch will be a jumble throughout the day, but once every hour, they’ll align to read “Love Knows Not What Time Is.” Wise words, watch. Wise Words. Manufactured by Mr. Jones Watches, this watch costs $175.

The expensive and the gorgeous: Vintage 1945 Jackpot Tourbillion
At $625,000 a watch, the Vintage 1945 Jackpot Tourbillon sure as hell is one expensive watch. For that price, you get a working replica of the original slot machine that was created in 1894 and was named “The Liberty Bell.” Also, it is made of pink gold, has sapphire crystals, and if nothing, you can simply pull at the lever on the side and get the slot machine running.

Off-axis watch

The Off-axis watch finds its claim to fame in its dial, which has been moved 30-degrees clockwise. While the change is supposed to create a more comfortable and natural viewing angle, but I guess it will take some time getting used to. Costs $75.

Kisai Round pocketwatch is fancy and shiny
Pocketwatches aren’t really as much in use as they once were, but still there are people who would like to own them, and there are people who buy Tokyoflash’s shiny watches, which have an issue with telling time straight. The Kisai Round pocketwatch is no different in terms of complex time telling, only, it is slightly saner.
