Space Invaders chair

This isn’t the first time we’re seeing seating inspired by Space Invaders, but the idea never fails to capture our interest. Space Invaders chairs are a compact foam seating visualized by the Dorothy design collective. There isn’t a visibly radical departure from the basic looks of the Invaders, except of course, this one gets a 3-dimensional touch as compared to the 2-dimensional invaders of the classic arcade game.

Alphabet chairs let your furniture speak out

The beauty of these alphabet chairs and quotation lamps combo is that you can kind of customize and personalize your living space the way you want it. Appropriately named Spell It Out! the collection from Tabisso includes chairs designed in the shape of alphabets from A through Z and numbers 0 to 9. The accompanying lamps are available in various shapes as well, with 25 symbols to choose from. That would make for some sweet customization, or just a healthy dose of typographic beauty.

Loopita chair loops into loops

Loopita chair is all about relaxing and enjoying, all in an unconventional design. Quite like its name, there’s a loop in the chair as well. In fact, you can get chairs with single double or even triple loops. I’d guess the triple loop chair would also double up as a comfy tunnel of sorts. Created by French studio Kerozene Design, the chairs come with a 7-year warranty and a €7000 (~$10k) price tag.
