Reddit user carpenter75‘s daughter wanted a Super Mario Bros. themed room. So the hardworking dad got to work, putting things together to convert the room into a Mario World recreation. Apart from the decals and paint covering the walls, the room includes Mario themed bedding, fabric storage boxes, window blinds, and a canvas “start screen”.

The room also has several elements to recreate sounds from the game. For example, entering the room and pressing on the NES controller themed switch kicks off the Mario start music; other elements like the boxes and flag also have their related music that can be played by tipping on a switch with each of them. It cost carpenter75 about $700 to complete the room in full Mario glory.
