Wi-Fi is a big part of our everyday connected life, yet our appreciation of this invisible force doing quite a lot of our work remains mostly ignorant. Former NASA employee Dr. Vogel teamed up with visual artist Nickolay Lamm (previously here and here) to depict the omnipresent wifi signals and waves into visual characteristics.
Aiding in our quest to move as little as possible, Escea has come up with a fireplace that has built-in WiFi connectivity. The gas fireplace can be controlled with a smartphone, making connectivity come in a lot earlier. Via Design-Milk
If you have ever wondered what the waves of a WiFi network look like, this is your answer. These WiFi fields were visualized by Timo Arnall, Jørn Knutsen and Einar Martinussen, who made good use of light painting to make these fields visible, and to capture their beauty.
