Laser Gatling Gun Has a Purpose in Life it Won’t Share

As thoughts and philosophy go, I subscribe to the theory that everything has a purpose in life. In that belief, it would be okay to imagine that this laser gatling gun has a higher purpose than being a chunk of materials that throw light. Perhaps its true calling is the appearance of being a badass, and it wouldn’t be faring too poor in that department.

Apache Revolver is a Gun, Knife and Brass Knuckle All in One

Apache Revolver is a very interesting weapon. You can put in bullets to shoot, wield it as a knife, and if that isn’t enough, it can be used as a brass knuckle to do some hard punching. The Apache originated in Belgium and soon found favor with the French underworld where it was used till about the end of the 1800s.

World Gets Its First 3-D Printed Gun, Starts Shooting

3D tech is getting awesome by the day and is now headed straight to consumer use. Of the hell lot of things that we’ll be printing soon, guns apparently will be one. Designed by Defense Distributed, this is the first full 3-D printed gun in the world, which for some reason has been named The Liberator. It’s obviously not really ready for combat, or for that matter not even a safe weapon given the fair chance that it might explode. Although it pretty much goes to show the power of 3D printing.

Navy Laser Gun Blasts a Drone Out of The Sky [video]

Lasers are set to be the future of war; why wait when you can hit someone at the speed of light. So are drones, and thus it makes perfect sense for both of them to meet in the battlefield. The US Navy has been working on its Laser Weapons System (LaWS) for a while now, honing it for future use. This time around, they set it towards a drone, and made it the first time the laser blew something off the sky. The video released by the navy shows a six-laser cannon pointed to a drone, eventually bringing the poor sucker down.

Places of Worship Built With Weapons and Ammunition

Religion always has, and continues to play a markedly important role in our lives. It’s influence has not only been spiritual and social, but to quite a great extent, martial as well. These sculptures by artist Al Farrow represent places of worship built out of ammunition and weapons. Morbid as it may be, the work brings out the connection between religion and war that seems so very entangled.

Beating a Shovel Into Shape Makes It an AK-47

The AK-47 is one of the most impressive assault rifles ever made. And apparently, you can make one of them with little more than a shovel. Romy sans-barrel AK kit and a Barrel blank should work well with the shovel to make a functional AK-47. That’s an assault rifle for you at a price tag of less than $250.

Insect Army is Prepared For An Invasion

Insects do have considerable numbers, and dangerous weapons. What they did lack was classic weaponry the likes of which are possessed by humans. Well, they do have that too now and they turned into cyborg-like beings just to get the thing kickstarted. Thankfully made out of taxidermied insects, the concept insect army is the handiwork of Dutch artist Job van der Molen, who has worked carefully enough to create logically realistic versions that make it clear that we should fear a weaponized insect world.
