Lamborghini Mantis concept envisions a somewhat “tame” Lamborghini and we guess that’s what made designer Hazael Estrada choose the name, which is a departure of Lamborghini’s tradition of naming cars after bulls. The Mantis concept has a slightly futuristic design, and a very aerodynamic body that can apparently adjust with the airflow to stay aerodynamic. The designer envisions this car as a hybrid with a combustion engine powering the rear wheels while two separate electric motors power each front wheel.

Audi Shows The e-Tron Spyder Concept

The e-Tron Spyder is Audi’s design for a retrotastic hybrid plug-in vehicle that takes inspiration from previous concepts as well as from current models in the automakers arsenal. It may have a retro-inspired design, but the e-Tron Spyder is a very futuristic sportscar. Apart from having looks to kill that we expect from every Audi, the concept also has the power to thrill.

Genty Akylone Supercar Concept

French company Genty Automobile has been working on the Akylone supercar for nearly four years now. The supercar has a carbon fiber composite chassis with front and rear subframes. Power will likely come from a 4.8 litre twin-turbo V8 that is said to churn out more than 1000 horsepower sent to the rear wheels.

The car itself is ultra rare, with only three instances of the 340 Mexico Berlinettas ever being made, so only one car is scheduled to be built with the makeover.

Lamborghini dropped this super sexy Gallardo as a bomb at the ongoing Frankfurt Motor Show. Named Gallardo LP 570-4 Super Trofeo Stradale is the fastest Gallardo ever made. As is the norm with Lamborghinis, the name itself speaks volumes about the car. This Gallardo commands a power of 570 PS, transmitted to all four wheels by a robotized six-speed transmission and supplied by a V10 engine.

How’s that for luxury, vanity, and the joy of being super rich? Designer Eduard Gray has come up with the Strand Craft 122 Superyacht that will keep its patrons in a cocoon of luxury. The yacht measures 125 feet (38 meters) that give room for four large staterooms, reception and salon areas, crew cabins and a dash of 52-inch LED TVs coupled with Bang & Olufsen sound systems for every room.

There is something in the Maybach Exelero that makes it looks somewhat sinister, at least in our eyes. It may cost $8 million, but going by its looks we’d guess that wouldn’t be much of a trouble for supervillains. The grotesque Batmobile-like looks aren’t really an incentive.

2011 Joss JP1 supercar renderings

Renderings for the upcoming Joss JP1 supercar show that its going to be one sexy car. Powered by a V8 engine generating more than 500 hp, the car is expected to hit a top speed of 211mph and zoom from zero to 60mph in under 3 seconds. That it weighs a light 2072 lbs surely does help the case.

Bugatti shows one-off porcelain-trimmed Veyron L’Or Blanc

Bugatti has taken wraps off a brand new, one-off Veyron and it’s a lot different than the “usual” looks you’d expect from a car. L’Or Blanc was created in association with Königliche Porzellan-Manufaktur who used porcelain on the car to give it these splendid looks and style. L’Or Blanc (means White Gold) will only see one edition built, with a price tag of $2.4 million.
