FaceOn Plates add Imagination to Edibles

Polish craftsman Boguslaw Sliwinski has a way of creating simple and interesting plates. The FaceOn plate has a human-shaped doodle on it, and the food you add could be placed so as to represent hair. Simple and interesting, just the way we like things.

BS Toy Plates Add Some Fun to Eating

Kids can be fussy at mealtime, and adults have to play all sorts of gimmicks to make kids have the meal. These plates could help tick the balance in favor of good meals, by bringing sheer playfulness to the plate. As an adult, I can confirm that we will also like these plates way too much and would give kids a run for the money in our liking of these plates. The plates have been designed by Polish designer Boguslaw Sliwinski.

Of forks and spoons and fertilized eggs

Apparently without much of a desire to make food palpable, Miriam Liébana made plates, spoons and forks in the image of sperms racing to an egg. The plate has been made to look like an egg waiting to be fertilized, while the spoons and forks have been created like sperms in a race to reach the egg. The work seeks to combine two basic survival needs of humans; to eat and to procreate.
