Designer Shows Proposed Garden Bridge Set To Go Across the Thames in London

Garden Bridge in London is proposed as a pedestrian friendly medium to connect London’s South Bank to Covent Garden through river Thames. Proposed by British designer Thomas Heatherwick, the bridge will be covered in trees and shrubs and be open only for pedestrians.

He created a series of travelogues based on the technique developed by his father William Friese-Greene.

New York city and London are both huge cities and centers for culture with an influence that spreads not just to their respective regions, but can be very global in approach. This series of photographs explores how similar both the cities would be in appearance, the age-old yet modern London, and the comparatively new city of New York. Photographer Daniella Zalcman recently moved from New York to London, and this move prompted the series we see here.

Master Chief wears a Jetpack, flies over Trafalgar square for Halo launch

As a marketing ploy for Halo:Reach, a stuntman dressed up as a Spartan, got hold of a Jetpack, and remained airborne over London’s Trafalgar Square for about 30 seconds. Having mercy on the ears of passers by, they were given earplugs to save them from the Jetpack’s noise. In the same vein, when you watch the video, remember to keep the volume down.
