Once Zelda: Breath of the Wild out on the Nintendo Switch, this dude decided it was time to automate his home. The system is based off the ocarina from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Allen Pan used an internet connected Raspberry Pi, connected to different gadgets for his home automation system.
Playing Zelda’s Lullaby locks/unlocks the door, Sun’s Song toggles lights, Bolero of Fire turns on heat, Song of Storms controls the humidifier, and so on. He can even play a tune to unlock his car!

Link is a warrior slashing through hordes of his enemies. In this illustration from Jeremiah Lambert Arts, Link stands with Zelda on top of a pile of his fallen enemies, like any great warrior should. The other illustration shows a heartless Mario stomping on hapless Goombas, leaving a mess of spilled intestines through the mushroom kingdom.
Artist myCKs created an illustrated set of Legend of Zelda characters painted as Samurai. To add to the sweet touch, the paintings have been done in sumi-e, a Japanese brush painting style. That looks like a great combination, and the characters look pretty darn good.

Over time and through numerous games, consoles and advances in game technology, Link’s shield has gone through several changes. What started as a little brown box has now become a well detailed and fairly decorated shield with elaborate illustrations on it. Same could be said of the sword, which went from a pixilated brown box to the well detailed object we see in games now.
