Unveiled at the New York Auto Show, the all-electric Genesis Essentia Concept is a lovely head-turner. Good looks and performance of this concept could do wonders for the Genesis brand, and also for the parent company, Hyundai. Genesis sees the concept as the pinnacle of its awkward sounding “Athletic Elegance” design language; the phrase thankfully is overshadowed, or at least vindicated by the looks of the Essentia.

Zombie Survival Car, the Hyundai Santa Fe ZSM

Gearing up for the zombie apocalypse is a wise move, doing that with a car built specially for mowing down zombie hordes is better. Displayed at the New York Comic Con, this vehicle put on show all its zombie mowing goodness. Designed by Anson Kuo and based on the Santa Fe, the vehicle was chosen to be realized from several submissions.

This Hyundai is a Zombie Killer

Picture this: You’re bang in the middle of a zombie horde that’s inching its way towards you with every intention of helping themselves to your brain. Bullets won’t really help that much, the best option being getting the hell out of there. That is when you fire off the Hyundai Zombie Survival Machine.

Hyundai Concept Motorcycle Stretches, Flexes its Muscles

Designed by Min Seong Kim, this concept motorcycle for Hyundai talks big of muscles. The motorcycle has a unique shape and aggressive styling, plus a body that works much like muscles. Panels and body of the motorcycle can contract just like the muscles on the body, and provide better balance, steering and control. When turning a corner the body relaxes for a better approach and control, while accelerating the body contracts and goes rigid to keep up with the speed.

Hyundai’s Blue2 fuel cell based concept car

Hyundai displayed its Blue2 (pronounced Blue Square) fuel cell based concept car at the Seoul Motor Show. Hyundai calls the concept’s exterior design philosophy “Intersected Flow” which is a departure from conventional design at Hyundai. The windshield seems to go nearly all the way across the car, thanks to pillars that don’t stand out, finally making way for a strip that starts at the C-pillar and goes all the way back towards the front wheel.

Hyundai puts up a giant vuvuzela for the world cup

Vuvuzelas are grabbing as many headlines as the World Cup itself, but just as a reminder to the world that Hyundai is the sponsor for the world cup, the automaker put up a giant 114-ft long vuvuzela in Cape Town. This one goes on before the start of every match, and probably gives viewers a “preview” of what they are going to hear throughout the match. Video after the jump.
