Audi is walking the road of good looks with the Nanuk Quattro Concept. Audi is taking the Nanuk Quattro Concept to the Frankfurt Motor Show. Dressed well for the occasion, the Nanuk is something of a coupe that can do the heavy work of off-roading. Power comes from a 5.0 Liters V10 that presents the car with 544hp and 377 lb-ft of torque. With all that energy at its disposal, the Nanuk can go from zero to 60 in 3.8 seconds and cap off at a top speed of 189 mph.
Gearing up for the Frankfurt Motor Show, where everyone is dressing up, Lexus apparently decided to do something different and bring along the fugly LF-NX concept. The sharp cuts and lines and stance are purportedly meant to give the crossover an aggressive stance, only it ended up giving it a fugly look. That grille could not have been worse, and the sharp curves are excessive enough to appear like a deformation. Interiors get a futuristic-modern look with touch sensitive instrumentation and a “Remote Touch” interface that works with a touchpad.
Gearing up for the Frankfurt Motor Show, Ferrari has just introduced the 458 Speciale. An exterior designed in collaboration with Pinninfarina, the Speciale will have a boosted performance and “Active Aerodynamics” that are set to be a standard across Ferrari’s future lineup. Power comes from a naturally aspirated V8 ever with an output of 605hp that takes the car from a standing start to 62mph in just three seconds.
Mercedes unveiled its idea of the future with the F125 Concept at the Frankfurt Motor Show. F125 concept is a futuristic zero emission vehicle powered by hydrogen. The car is propelled by a hydrogen-electric hybrid engine and the fuel tank is the body of the car itself! Driving range for the concept is 650 miles, which beats competition by far. Especially since these won’t be throwing out any exhausts at all.
Apart from cars that obviously make grand appearances at the Frankfurt Motor Show, Audi decided to showcase an indoor test track built by the automaker in conjunction with German firm Schmidhuber + Partner. Audi Ring is 100 meters long, 70 meters wide, and 12 meters high and features 400 meters long test track where visitors get the joy of experiencing current and future vehicles in a ride-along.
Lamborghini dropped this super sexy Gallardo as a bomb at the ongoing Frankfurt Motor Show. Named Gallardo LP 570-4 Super Trofeo Stradale is the fastest Gallardo ever made. As is the norm with Lamborghinis, the name itself speaks volumes about the car. This Gallardo commands a power of 570 PS, transmitted to all four wheels by a robotized six-speed transmission and supplied by a V10 engine.
Peugeot is set to unveil its design study, the HX1 Concept at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The futuristic six-seater sports a bold design, high-tech interiors and a hybrid powertrain. HX1 is based on the idea of “Metamorphosis” and Peugeot has made it go futuristic in a number of fields including layout, aerodynamics, modularity, equipment, materials and environment.
You know what to expect when a brand like Fendi decides to dress up a car as beautiful as the Maserati GranCabrio. Well, we can imagine the results but it is way better to actually see what the collaboration has come up with. And what they have come up with is a GranCabrio with a new color combination, a revamped upholstery and interiors, and of course, a splashing of the Fendi logo and name.
Ford says its new Evos concept previews the global design language the brand will adopt, and that alone would make the concept pretty significant. To put it simply, this means future vehicles from Ford will look a lot like the Evos concept that will make its debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
