When you make a prop as cool as this, you’re doing it right. DeviantARTist Batman-n-Bananas started this as a simple Chell costume for Halloween, but then the lady went bananas and built herself a full scale portal gun replica, Steampunk style. The project turned into a full on cosplay build, and the simple costume idea was chucked to a side. Seeing the portal gun, we like how things went.
