Life-size Kanye Jesus Sculpture on Hollywood Boulevard

This sculpture, placed at the corner of Hollywood Boulevard and La Brea Avenue is titled False Idol and is the work of LA street artist Plastic Jesus. The golden statue portrays Kanye West as Jesus, with his arms outstretched to be crucified, but without the cross – there are nails on his hands though. A crown of thorns adorns his head and a Jesus piece is placed around his neck. On his feet are the YEEZY Boost 350 sneakers.

But then again, we couldn’t draw a line straight in photoshop, so we’re not really the ones to judge.

Celebrities Portrayed as Russian Generals

During Napoleon’s invasion of Russia, English artist George Dawe painted 329 portraits of Russian military officers for the Military Gallery of the Winter Palace in St. Petersburg. Artist Steve Payne used digital portraits of these paintings mixed with the magic of photoshop to give celebrities their style as Russian military generals. Call it wonderful execution, but most of these celebrities appear to be rather suited in their uniforms.

Celebrities do get into renaissance style clothes for one shot or the other, but imagining a number of them in renaissance-style portraits could be an interesting take as well.
