We’ve seen a Lego camera before, but it merely used Lego bricks for a Leica M8 look. Not that it wasn’t cool, it just got trumped by this medium format camera created by Fernando Ramirez Martinez . The camera can shoot 6×6 square-format images, has a 150mm focal length, and makes use of gears and clutches to hold the film in place. The only thing it lacks is a shutter mechanism, so it has to rely on a pinhole with an aperture of F300. We guess creating a shutter mechanism with those plastic bricks has to be a totally insane and very difficult to achieve properly, so that’s like a tiny-little-near invisible speck on this totally amazing creation.
USB speaker camouflaged as Canon DSLR camera
It may look like a Canon DSLR camera, but it sure won’t behave like one. This 1:1 scale replica of a Canon DSLR camera is actually a USB speaker that can work with the standard 3.5mm audio jack, or play music via USB or SD/MMC cards. Costs $83. Via: ChipChick
