Transformers short made by Russian fan

Michael Bay, take note and continue with the giant robot fight action. Amateur Russian animator Alexander Semenov created this shot using Canon’s 550D and Nikon D5000 HD cameras, and software like 3DS Max 8, After Effects CS4 and Vegas 7. Animators use cellphone and microscope to create the world’s smallest stop-motion animation

Animators from the Aardman studio in UK put together a Nokia N8 and a CellScope (mobile phone camera with 50x magnification), and created the world’s smallest stop-motion animation. For the video, animators created 50 different versions of Dot, as it wasn’t possible to twist a single figure into the numerous shapes the video required. Each of these figures was hand-painted by the artists. Video after the jump.

Granny O’Grimm: Short film where Granny tells granddaughter a scary story

Granny O’Grimm wants to be a perfect granny to her grandchildren; loving, caring, telling them stories, you know, the works. There’s one little problem though, granny is filled with rage at the world and can barely repress the anger at being “ignored.” The anger somehow flows into her stories, making her tales a lot more grimmer than Grimm’s fairy tales ever intended to be. Watch the video after the jump to see the Oscar nominated short film, where granny tells her granddaughter the story of Sleeping Beauty.
