Wrought into a tiny cylindrical shape, the Spider computer concept takes care of most computing tasks you could throw at it. When needed in action, its three foldable legs keep it stable on a surface while it projects a screen and a laser keyboard for the user. It makes good use of cloud computing to stay on as a tiny package.
You won’t be doing any dunking on the Dunk lamp, but its basketball hoop shape will attract many a lovers of the sport. Indulging in that love for the sport will cost you $425 though.
Blandito could be a genie if it had phenomenal cosmic powers and an itty bitty living space. Well, it has neither except probably a bit about the itty bitty living space. So it has to stay content being a concept convertible chair/bed/cocoon that also likes to make human burritos. It is a pretty useful piece of furniture, given its ability to take numerous forms as attested to by these images. Now if all these transforms are easy and not madly infuriating as most transformable furniture tends to be, we might have ourselves a winner.
Design student Wilda Wongso gave a makeover, and a soul to the otherwise overlooked gift boxes. The set of four boxes called called Vigoo, features four characters that come flat packed and can be assembled into the desired shape by the user.
Cronos yacht concept was created as a student design project by Simone Madella and Lorenzo Berselli at the European Institute of Design. The clearly conceptual looks of the yacht and its design are a paradise of excellent use of wood and its forms. In fact, woodwork quite easily forms the major element of this design. To live up to the reputation of luxury and excellence in woodwork, the yacht has quite an elegance and fluidity in its looks and stance.
Works of Italian designer Davide Panarella, the Seapower 750 GT, and its slightly shorter cousin the 650 GT are all set to ride the waves. Both hard keel boats are set to be marketed and manufactured by Italy based Seapower. While the 650 lives a simpler life being an evolution of the 550 GT, a previous design by Seapower, the 750 GT seeks to go a slightly different way.
Bikers around the world complain of not having a good enough place to ride their bikes, and the roads of course aren’t very friendly to bicycles even when things continue to change slowly but surely. If the proposal from architects JDS goes through, Chongming would be the envy of every bicyclist. The proposed concept is named “Urban Oasis,” a place built especially as a bicycle friendly environment.
Concepts generally have the leeway of going past the accepted and the pragmatic to don the feathers of imagination and take a big leap. So concept cars can be really amazing; an idea that stands true for nearly all marques. Things get a bit different when you’re dealing with a Lamborghini though. The raging bull has such amazing cars that you really have to push the boundaries of imagination.
We probably should like the unconventional design of the Paszcza armchair, but the creation of Poland-based design studio WAMHOUSE has a cushioned red seat that takes on the form of a tongue and a solid circular embrace that double times as a mouth equivalent. Our dirty mind thinks that the chair performs unspeakable acts to the people sitting on it; but it is no pervert.
A creation of the O*GE Creative Group, the Giant Birdsnest was created to be a prototype of a new socializing space. But with something that appears to be so comfortable and cool, the ideal use of something like this would be to take a nap and fly into the world of dreams. O*GE are willing to make these for consumers on request.
