Unveiled recently at the Villa d’Este Concours d’Elegance, MINI Superleggera Vision Concept showed off a sweet new look and refined style. While a concept for the moment, the Vision is a very likely contender for the production line. It is expected that the care will make a production debut in 2016.
Ducati may have taken a minimal design approach to the 2015 Monster 821, but that approach is limited to the motorcycle’s looks. Power has nothing to do with minimalism where the Monster is concerned. The Ducati Monster 821 comes powered with a 112 hp, 821cc twin cylinder Testrastretta engine that does justice to the Monster name. Available in July, the motorcycle is priced between $10,995-$11,495.
Gigantic robot Bumblebee we see in Transformers movies is quite badass, and transforms into a super cool Camaro. Yet, he wouldn’t hold a light to this guy. This one doesn’t have the same badass look, transforms into something that looks like a toy Escalade, and won’t be shooting bad guys with massive cannons.
Henrik Fisker is well known for prowess in automobile design, perhaps the best known being the Fisker Karma. Here’s a new feather for the cap in the shape of Henrik Fisker Viking Motorcycle. The Viking is currently a concept, though Lauge Jensen are considering setting it up for production.
Unconventional Vehicles by Gerald Bear is a mashup where famous pop culture vehicles get their match in conventional vehicles we see around us. Movie and popular culture vehicles tend to be fantastic, but what if they were regular vehicles; modified though not really modded with the skill to change them completely.
With great power come inexplicably large names. The latest special edition Bugatti Veyron is the Black Bess. Belonging to the Bugatti Legends series, the new supercar pays homage to the Type 18 Black Bess. One of the fastest street legal cars of its age, the Type 18 made quite a mark in the pre World War I era.
By its looks, this looks like a ragtag motorcycle that simply cannot be much good. Then you see it in action, and be impressed! The motorcycle seems to be named “ATV Suitcase” and as we see in the video, is light weight enough for the dude to pick it up with relative ease.
Lamborghini, it would be fair to assume, has zero interest in making a rat rod. Yet, as an independent design study, the Lamborghini Rat Rod looks magnificent. A concept by Pawel Wisniewski and Jans Slapins, the rendering imagines the appearance of a classic rat rod with modern influence of the Lamborghini design language.
Project F Concept is a study based on the Ferrari 458 Italia. Created by Ugur Sahin Design (previously), the concept focuses on organic lines inspired by nature. The concept is heavily dependent on the appearance, living on top of the already well curved Ferrari.
Artist Darren Rawlings has created a series where popular cars are reimagined as Transformers, another favorite in the automobile/giant robot genre. The illustrations are part of a series named If They Could Transform and present beloved, non-Transformer cars in their Transformer avatars. And we got to say, most of these transformations keep their badass characteristics running. Ecto-1 as a ghost busting Transformer? Hell yeah!
