Flying cars continue their attempts to come out of imagination into the real world. The latest iteration in the long line of flying concepts is the AirisOne. This all-electric flying car is the brainchild of Bermuda-based Airis Aerospace. Capable of ferrying five passengers, the AirisOne will have the ability to be fully autonomous, with options for semi-autonomous driving. The taxis will fly from (and to) a network of envisioned “Vertiports”, enabling travel throughout a city.

Say Hello To The Genesis Essentia Concept
Unveiled at the New York Auto Show, the all-electric Genesis Essentia Concept is a lovely head-turner. Good looks and performance of this concept could do wonders for the Genesis brand, and also for the parent company, Hyundai. Genesis sees the concept as the pinnacle of its awkward sounding “Athletic Elegance” design language; the phrase thankfully is overshadowed, or at least vindicated by the looks of the Essentia.
When Poorly Rendered Car From Some ’90s Video Games Becomes Real
The radically designed Karlmann King SUV presents itself as a “Ground Stealth Fighter”. Although it reminds us more of the good old low polygon count games of the ’90s. Of course, those games had restrictions on their graphic rendering, this SUV takes this look by choice. The makers of the SUV claim that it takes 2000 designers, developers, and engineers from all over the world to build this behemoth.
Ask Not Why This Man Built A Kitchen In His Car
Ask WTF is he going to do about the car smell and upholstery. Understandably, that wasn’t on top of Gavin Shoebridge’s list when he made the choice of having a good, homecooked meal on his camping trips. The DIY project turns impressive when you consider he built this kitchen in the tiny boot space of a 2011 Peugeot iOn.
Bugatti Chiron Sport: Say Hello Before You Wolf Whistle
Bugatti has unveiled the new Bugatti Chiron Sport at the Geneva Motor Show. Apart from a liberal use of carbon fiber, the supercar has also received a handling package. The package includes a stiffer suspension and modified steering, accessed by turning on the car’s “Handling Mode”. There is however, no change in output over the standard model (if any model of the Chiron may be considered ‘standard’). The 8.0-liter W-16 still pumps out the same massive 1,479 hp and 1,180 lb-ft of torque.
McLaren Senna With ‘Carbon Theme’ Looks Like It Drove Out of A Video Game
McLaren Senna just got an upgrade option that makes it look absolutely stunning. The hypercar gets a whole new build with carbon fiber, and takes its sweet time dressing up. The carbon fiber build takes about a 1000 hours to produce, that nice solar detailing takes about 250 hours. So yeah, it’s not just some quick paintjob to cook up a new look.
Curtiss Warhawk Motorcycle
Warhawk is the first motorcycle to be built with the Curtiss marque in a hundred years. The name is a nod to Glenn Curtiss, the inventor of the first American V-Twin motorcycle. This massive machine is built on an aluminum frame that sits on Michelin tires. Power comes from an air cooled 2200cc V-Twin mated to a five-speed stacked gearbox.
Nissan Takes on the Snow With Nissan 370Zki Roadster
Nissan has its heart set on tackling the snow, with the all new 370Zki Roadster concept (pronounced unsurprisingly as 370 Ski). Built off the stock 370Z, the ‘roadster’ still got its powerful 332 hp engine. Of course, it requires more work than stripping out wheels and slapping on skis. Nissan partnered with American Track Truck to get this rear-wheel powered snowmobile ready for show.
Vanda Dendrobium Electric Supercar Goes 200mph
Singapore-based Vanda Electrics is trying to make a name for itself, and its parent company Wong Fong Engineering in the automobile space. Vanda is still in its nascent stages, though it is quite ambitious as displayed by the Vanda Dendrobium electric supercar it showed at the Geneva Motor Show.
The Cars of Mad Max Fury Road
Photographer John Platt has uploaded photographs of a selection of cars, trucks, and bikes used in Mad Max: Fury Road. The images were captured over three weeks, prior to the shooting of the film.
