Vehicles like the Tumbler have an inherent quality of awesomeness. Most of us wouldn’t mind taking something like that out for a spin, but then we don’t have the pockets of Bruce Wayne/Batman/Christian Bale. If you are a racing team though, you could pull some strings to create the Tumbler for your use.
Earlier this year, Lamborghini showed its willingness to depart from conventional car design with the Veneno. Now, it apparently wants to cement the idea with the Egoista. This one though, is a one-off concept made to celebrate 50 years of the marque. The single seater supercar has a silver body with orange rims and accents, plus really sharp and pronounced curves and cuts that are intended to give it a look and feel similar to its inspiration, airplanes and jets.
Volkswagen’s new tuner concept, the Design Vision GTI is a concept car built for a tuner show. The 503-horsepower beast is a crazy concept powered by a twin-turbocharged V6 engine that takes the GTI from zero to 60mph in 3.9 seconds. Of course to get the poor Golf go with all that madness isn’t quite easy, so they gave it some Audi DNA in parts and systems. So the GTI now has an all wheel drive system, a wider stance and a lower ride height that clearly gives the GTI and Audi-like look, which would be the result of all that Audi DNA taking the GTI to such performance levels.
Terrafugia has given the world its first commercial flying car, although it happens to be a bit like a plane since you’ll need to have it running on the road for a while to gain momentum before you can take off. Now that is neat, but when we thought “flying cars” we always thought The Jetsons way where cars take off without the trouble of a runway. Terrafugia’s new Transition, the TF-X ought to take a big, strong step in that direction.
You need to have deep pockets if you want to own a Ferrari, but you got to have deeper pockets to afford this Ferrari watch. It’s not entirely an exclusive set, but for a lot of people who could afford a supercar with the prancing horse marque, the $300,000 Hublot MP-05 LaFerrari watch is probably out of the price range.
We like how helmets are getting creative and geeky, just like god intended them to be. This cool predator helmet will flaunt your badass status on the road. Well, maybe not, but damn it looks so much more better than those buckets that we call helmets.
Spin Cycle Industries made this one off modified Yamaha XS400 for a client. For whatever reasons, Emma, the present owner of the Yamaha wants to sell this sweet looking masterpiece that has only 1500 miles on it. Spin cycle call it comfortable and agile, and with just 400 lbs worth of weight on this motorcycle, we’re going to take their word for it.
Few things can beat the raw appeal of badass wolf helmet that has quite a realistic appearance. All helmets are DOT certified so you don’t run into trouble for wearing a wolf head on your head, and if you should need some changes to the helmet, the sellers have a custom set running to take care of that. Costs $200.
Endowed with enough style to make gearheads happy, these lamps by Deron Dixon have their roots in old car parts. Various parts come together to create the base for the lamp, from which projects a stem to hold the shade and bulb. Deron says it’s a process of trial and error, where the best laid ideas might not exactly work out, and some errors might work out to be useful.
