Famous Cities of the World Recreated in Cardboard

A few of the world’s best known cityscapes now have a tiny sibling in the works of artist Chris Gilmour. The well detailed cityscapes have been created using conventional packaging boxes and a lot of glue to keep it all together. London, Paris and Berlin find a place in the replicas, showing off their landmarks with great attention to detail and perception of depth for the city and its surroundings.

Matchstickmen Are Giant Matches With Human Heads

Matchstickmen by German artist Wolfgang Stiller is a disturbing set. They start off like giant matchsticks, except they have human heads. Then, they meet the same fate as matchsticks are destined to, but the blackened, burnt human heads on top of these matches leave an uneasy, disturbing feel behind. Going further with the idea, the matchstick heads are generally scattered around the installation space, with a few lying in matchbox-like coffins.

That however is no reason to deviate from the fact that Ukrainian artist Anna Sophia Matveeva manages to make impressive portraits using chewing gums as the medium.
