A survey commissioned by cosmetics and body care retailer Escentual.com has come to the conclusion that the face of the “perfect woman” is likely to look like one of the two weirdos you see here. While the demography of the survey isn’t quite clear, the process employed included asking people to pick their favorite facial features of celebrities.
As wacky cases go, getting the Tumbler to protect your iPhone 5/5S is one of the smarter choices you’re going to make. The case is available for pre-orders till January 7, and will start shipping in March.
Highlighting the qualities of its hunting gear, the 2014 Realtree Lookbook has a series of photographs showing people wearing camouflage and going nearly invisible in their surroundings. Illustrated and written by Jeffrey Brown, Star Wars: Vader’s Little Princess is a book that deals with the life of Darth Vader and Princess Leia. Most of our best loved superheroes have been fighting crime for a very long time. Superman for example, has been fighting crime since 1938, assuming he started young, the superhero is still quite an aged man. The same could be true to varying degrees of age for most other superheroes. If the fountain of youth had not been so kind to these heroes, and had they aged, they would probably get a bit of a new look. Perhaps something similar to these illustrations by A Morshedi, which also reminds us of the good old set of bearded superheroes.
NASA’s new robot is named Valkyrie, is 6.2 feet tall, weighs 275 pounds, and has a name inspired by god-like females of Norse myth. The robot has been built to compete in the DARPA Robotics Challenge (DRC), where it would be required to do several maneuvers like driving a utility vehicle, walking over uneven terrain, clearing debris, breaking through a wall, closing a valve, and connecting a fire hose. The humanoid Valkyrie looks all fit for the job description.

This image from Auir2blaze is a list of inflation adjusted costs of several gaming consoles, if they were to reach the market today. It is quite an interesting list, pitting up the cost of the console on launch, versus what its cost would be today, adjusted for inflation. Notably enough, all costs fall quite in a similar range. The creator of the graphic says that the costs are based only on inflation and do not take into account other factors like average earnings, median income and buying power.
Maps by National Geographic show a not-so pretty picture of what the Earth would look like if all the snow melted away. Much of the snow on our planet exists near both the poles, though a fair share also exists on high altitude ranges and mountains across the globe.
