Complex Creatures Put Together With Balloons
Checkout this sweet balloon art by Tokyo-based artist Masayoshi Matsumoto. Well, balloon animals aren’t exactly a rarity, but the sheer complexity of Matsumoto’s creatures makes these way more interesting than your run-off-the-mill balloon art. The artist’s creations are made solely out of balloons – no markers, adhesives or sealants are employed.
The complexity employed makes this more than just a party trick. A regular viewer like myself would readily accept the use of markers or adhesives in creating those Octopus eyes, or for eyes on the hermit crab we see at the top. Or, in several other instances of such complications in these creatures. But the fact none of those is used is quite fantastic, and makes this balloon art all the more impressive.
