It is a concept, an idea that exists as a rendering; it could be many things, but it chose to be a keyboard. As a new concept keyboard, it looked at the wide choices of names it could have, wondering if simply being called keyboard would be enough. “No” said the booming voice of its creator, giving it the name F**ktron. This point forward, I’m just going to call it F-Tron. It is easier to write, and having to censor names just doesn’t sit right.
F-Tron glass keyboard is a stretched display device. As designers Sputnik Goods see it, the device can be used as a keyboard, a medical input device, a shared or full display, or as a game console, with mixed reality. F-tron is a touchscreen device built off a transparent OLED display with antiseptic coating. The antiseptic coating should come as a nice touch, considering your average keyboard can be quite a nest for germs.
F-Tron concept has full haptic feedback to allow for that conventional keyboard feel, comes pre-loaded with a lot of keyboard layouts, and can work with (or as a control for) several devices and software ranging from audio equipment to X-ray machines and medical equipment. It can run videos, and play video games. Going by the list of its capabilities here, we’re not sure if it could summon Cthulhu as well.
The keyboard has a small battery and can function as a standalone device for small duration. Although it is recommended to stay connected to a computer by means of a USB cable.
Wait… so I connect it to a computer and then watch videos on the keyboard but not on the computer screen? Yes
Everything it does can easily be done on a computer.. or you know, better through a laptop, tablet or even phone? Yes. I guess that’s why it’s called the F**ktron!
It looks cool, I’ll give it that. It may actually amount to some use if it wasn’t trying to do everything and save the world.
