J.K. Rowling has just released a new Harry Potter tale. The short story is available on the author’s website, and is presented as an article written for the Daily Prophet by Rita Skeeter. The occasion is the Quidditch World Cup, which happens in Patagonia
Actually, go ahead and read the story on Rowling’s website, Pottermore. You will have to sign in before you read the story, and the verification mail takes forever to arrive, but don’t let that stop you from wizarding glory.
Things are mostly the same as they were where the book left off, Harry and Ginny are happily married and have kids. Ditto with Ron and Hermione. But wait, there is more. Neville is married, so is Luna, and Potter is now 34. Kids, they grow so fast.
There is one change though. Apart from his old lightning scar, Harry now has a new scar on his face. Little is said about how the wizarding celebrity auror got the scar, but that would make a nice mystery, or a very angry Ginny, as Skeeter speculates.
