microSD SSD creator kit, will let you find use for the microSD cards you could have lying around, and create a cool little solid state drive for your use. This would be extremely useful for people who have plenty of cards lying around. Having those cards work as an SSD would make them quite more useful. The device can accept 10 cards, going to a maximum storage of 640 GB. At $87, the price is a bit of a bummer.

are you sure it’s 640gb ? i calculate 1280gb with ten of these cards below.
SanDisk Ultra 128GB MicroSDXC Class 10 UHS Memory Card Speed With Adapter (SDSDQUA-128G-G46A) [Old Version]
The maximum storage capacity would generally be (also) governed by the processor on this attachment and the bus it uses. In this case, it seems the usable memory will top off at 640gb, irrespective of the number or storage capability of the cards.
Dumb Idea!!!! Its going to be super crappy slow.
I think it is something like RAID HDD’s, It is RAID 0 (stripe). that means 64Gb one card * 10 pcs.
That means 640 Gb.
When you RAID 0 cards, the speed is cumulative.
The big problem in this RAID 0 is: if at least one card go down, you lose all the data ! But maybe this project have something else to do with !
